Leading Experts, Connected Globally
SPORTS20 invites you to the Global Sports and Sustainability Forum on May 28, 2026, in Berlin. Discussions will focus on how sport can be used as a driver for cross-sectoral developments to promote a more sustainable future. The aim is to identify the potential of sport to exert influence beyond the sporting arena, for example in the areas of business, infrastructure, nutrition, education and social development.
Last year, SPORTS20 reached an important international milestone with the Global Sports & Sustainability Forum in Cape Town. Under the theme ‘Reset the future – another world is possible’, we brought together experts from the worlds of sport, business and politics to highlight the transformative potential of sport and formulate clear calls for action for the SDG agenda. The results were immediately incorporated into a position paper that highlights the importance of sport in the global sustainability process and addresses it at the G20 level.
We will continue to drive this forward in 2026. Current national and international cases will be presented, as will the digitalisation of the framework as the key to greater transparency and scalability. Another focus will be on how we can strategically position ourselves for a possible bid to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
